HORSE BOARDING:

WALK out the back gate to endless BLM trails, view the Rio Grande Gorge. Enchanted Forest and Cebolla Mesa trails minutes away. Goldstar Farms is equipped to board 6 to 8 horses in a natural environment. Twice daily grass or grass/mix hay is fed, heated water, in the winter months, 2 - 3 paddocks with walk-in shelters, 2 round rings, one isolation stall w pen. Three-acre grazing/turnout. No barbed wire. Trailer parking.

Credit cards accepted. Weekly rates $100; Monthly rates $250 paddock; $350 stall. Extras available - natural trims, grooming, ground exercise, medications, supplements.

DALLAS, Nov. 17 - A visit from a friendly pup also might be terrific medicine for an ailing heart, researchers reported here.
In a random study involving 76 hospitalized heart-failure patients, UCLA researchers found that anxiety scores dropped an average of 24% after one arm of the study interacted with pairs of human volunteers and cardio canines, a dozen different breeds. Click on the link to read the full article.
